Mom Goes Back To Work

Mommy went back to work this week. Wow! She was so emotional. It was really hard for her to leave me each morning but she knew I was in good hands with my "Momo". Momo and I played together a lot and I have gotten a daily routine down. I sing songs with Momo and play patty-cake and Momo does lots of things around the house to help my mommy and daddy out. She's really one of a kind! She's been keeping a daily journal of all the things she and I do together so my mommy can read it at night (it always makes mommy cry because she's so happy I'm taken such good care of).

I've made lots of changes this week. I am sleeping longer at night and I only wake up 2x for feedings. Mommy is really happy about that! I'm also sleeping in my crib like a big boy. My mommy put me in there on Sunday night...and even though she cried (she does that a lot!) she left me in there all night and since I did so well, I've gotten to sleep there every night since then. I like it. I'm comfortable in my big bed. After my 5am feeding, my mommy always lets me sleep on her chest in the chair for an hour and then she plays with me from 6:15-7:15am before she gets ready for work. I'm really happy in the mornings so we always have fun talking and singing and looking at each other.

My daddy and I have been spending a lot more time together lately, too. He and I are "father-son" bonding. He's even learned how to bathe me and rock me to sleep. I love my daddy.

Bathtime is my favorite! I love the water.

This is the welcome back sign that was hanging in my mommy's room when she returned to school on Monday.

Kung Fu Baby!

Spending time with my daddy. He's so funny!

2 months old: My 1st Shots

I am 2 months old today and took my first trip to the pediatrician's office for shots. It was quite an adventure. I cried really loud--those shots hurt! However, I dried my tears within 5 mins or so after my mommy held me. It was my mommy who had the worst time. She almost passed out from holding her breath while they gave me the shots. Mommy held my hand while the nurse poked me --thank goodness my Daddy was there, too...because he had to hold Mommy. I think Daddy was a little bit worried, too. My doctor gave me a really nice blanket with my name embroidered on it...just for being his patient. Isn't that cool?! I was a little bit cranky for the rest of the day after coming home because I didn't feel very well but Mom and Dad took good care of me. I love grape flavored Tylenol! That stuff is awesome! Mom and Dad took me for a walk in my stroller and I went right to sleep.

I now weigh 12lbs 3.5 oz and I'm 23 inches long. I have really grown a lot in the last 8 weeks. The doctor says I'm in the 75th percentile and that I'm doing really well. I'm definitely going to be a football player when I grow up.

Too cute!

I love looking at my penguin toy that I got for
Christmas from Khourie, Raja, and "The Trinity"
Mommy loves me!
I'm a big boy now. I'm spending more time in my crib. I just got a new mobile. It lights up and sings lots of songs to me. I like it!

I went to visit my great-grandma, Merle Penny.
O yea'....I LOVE bath time!

7 weeks old

I am 7 weeks old now and weigh 11lbs 3.5oz. I am approximately 22.5inches long. My hair is beginning to grow back on top (I lost it all for a little while!) and I'm recognizing more and more faces and voices. I love to giggle and I have the biggest smile...it totally melts my Mom's heart. I'm definitely the center of her universe. Dad loves to play with me and give me kisses. He's really anxious for me to be bigger so he can "rough house" with me. I'm beginning to sleep a little bit longer at night but I still hate to leave my mommy's arms to lay down in my own bed; Mommy makes me do it anyway but she's always really close-by. Mommy goes back to work in 2 weeks and she's having a hard time adjusting to leaving me. She cries every time she thinks about it. I've got her so wrapped! I recently had my photos taken at JCP and I was just too cute. Mom is going to scan in the pictures soon for you to see. Thanks for visiting my webpage!
Love, Ramsey
