Meet Our Doctor: Dr. Garrett Garner

Introducing the one and only....Mr. Fabulous himself....Dr. Garrett Garner. Shaun and I really enjoy going to see Dr. Garner. His personality is one of a kind and he is so nurturing, not to mention hilarious. Dr. Garner is full of energy and always welcomes us with his smile. We can't wait for Ramsey to meet him!

Purple Poo Baby Shower in FTW: Oscar P!

We had a POO baby shower in Fort Worth on Saturday, October 25th at the home of one of my poo sisters. It was a GREAT time! I am certainly blessed to have such great friends. We played games, ate hamburgers and hotdogs off the grill, visited and did what we do best....TALK (and drink beer LOL). Shaun and I were showered with wonderful gifts and received Ramsey's baby swing from the hostesses (there were 8 hostesses! wow!). Shaun put the swing together as soon as we got home and it is so cool!! It does everything! A woman had to have invented it! As you will see in one of the photos, Shaun experienced changing his 1st diaper on a stuffed animal. He didn't do too bad...but it was still comical to watch. I have been working all weekend in Ramsey's room trying to do some last minute things. I'm washing all his clothes and blankets today to get ready and am beginning to think about what needs to go in the hospital bag for when the big day gets here. It's hard to believe that it's only 7 weeks away...and that's assumming I make it to full term. Shaun and I are both hoping that Ramsey will come a little bit earlier than his due date...I think we're just anxious for him to get here. I'm beginning to have Braxton Hicks contractions now and am feeling a bit more uncomfortable. Sleeping is still a chore as I get up often to use the restroom and have indigestion that's out of this world! GRRRR! Ramsey's room is almost complete now. We have a few more things that are being made (shelves and art work) but they will be ready to display in a week or so. I'm so excited!! It's almost here....I can't believe it.

Ramsey at 31 weeks: 4D Sono

Ramsey In Action

Ramsey is now 31 weeks in my tummy and is certainly getting bigger and bigger every day. I'm measuring right on track and the doctor feels that everything is going well. Ramsey's heartbeat was 149bpm at this visit. He is still very active and loves to put his head on my bladder and smash it on my uterin wall for extra cushion. In recent sono's, Ramsey always has his hand close to his face. As you will see in the 4D sono clip, his right hand stays snug by his right ear the whole time.

Watching the sono was an amazing experience for Shaun and I. I fought back my tears so I didn't seem like a little whimp, but the frog in my throat was croaking. Ramsey was laying in the posterior position (head down) with his face up; most of his head and neck were up against my left hip pretty tightly so I had to lay on my side for the technician to view him. He didn't move around very much during the sono. He was very content with where he was and refused to let us see "everything". He already has his father's stubborn streak! He certainly doesn't get that from me. LOL. We noticed that Ram has long eyelashes, round and full chubby cheeks, a cute little button nose, and all his fingers and toes are in tact on the right side. He flashed his foot up by his face several times for us to see and he wiggled his fingers around a lot. I immediately started counting. He grinned several times throughout the sono which was the sweetest thing I've ever seen!

I can't stop staring at the photos we brought home. I really think he looks like Shaun already with the exception of his little nose. We immediately put the DVD into the player when we got home and watched it. It's about 20 minutes long and with every minute....I fell more in love. I can't wait for him to get here! 9 more weeks.......tick, tock, tick, tock.
