We had our first visit to the OBGyn on Monday, April 21st. Dr. Katrina Lee is awesome! We really enjoyed our conversation with her and look forward to our future visits. We know she will be a wonderful doctor to work with and feel secure in knowing her hands will be the first to touch our little worm.
Our first sonogram was today (Wednesday, April 23rd). It was an adventure to say the least. The most amazing part was watching Shaun's face light up as he supervised the technician taking the pictures of the baby. My eyes filled with tears when she turned the monitor towards me so I could see the "worm" on the screen. The heartbeat was strong and steady, and though we couldn't hear it, we could definitely see it. The experience was amazing! Shaun and I left the hospital with grins and giggles. We're going to be parents!
I'm 6wks along and the baby's due date is set for December 16th so it looks like we will have an exciting holiday season this year.....the perfect Christmas gift! I'm feeling pretty good most of the time but have had the occasional morning sickness and am extremely tired. Shaun is taking good care of me and lends lots of TLC when needed. I couldn't ask for a more supportive and loving husband. So....the journey begins......we are so excited about this time in our lives and look forward to what the future brings.
